Responsibilities

  • Build and integrate AI-powered application features, including LLM workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, agent integrations, and data-driven user experiences.
  • Translate complex product and client needs into technical designs and sustainable implementation plans.
  • Contribute to architecture, integration patterns, performance, reliability, and maintainability of components and services.
  • Apply relevant AI technologies and patterns pragmatically while helping shape the team’s AI application practices.
  • Improve engineering quality through code reviews, design reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and secure development practices.
  • Design evaluation frameworks for AI output quality and production monitoring.
  • Lead technical work, mentor junior colleagues, share knowledge, and help improve engineering processes and capabilities.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience with C#/.NET and backend development in enterprise or product software environments.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design, clean code, API design, integration patterns, and maintainable software architecture.
  • Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and modern engineering practices, preferably using Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with cloud-based development and services, preferably Azure.
  • Practical understanding of AI application development, including LLM solutions, prompting strategies, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows, evaluation methods, and LLM limitations.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
  • Experience leading technical work, shaping designs, and owning important components or services.
  • Ability to mentor junior colleagues, break down ambiguous problems, communicate clearly, and collaborate across disciplines and locations.
  • Experience in fintech, financial services, investment management, or another regulated industry is preferred.
  • Experience designing evaluation frameworks for AI output quality and production monitoring is preferred.
