Responsibilities
- Design and operate high-QPS systems that carry consent and opt-out signals from SDKs through advertising auctions.
- Own data subject request fulfillment, including coordinating deletion across downstream systems, tracking completion, and meeting SLAs.
- Translate changing privacy regulations into jurisdiction-specific configuration and enforcement without requiring country-specific code changes.
- Build measurement and auditing systems to verify correctness and identify failures.
- Contribute to trust and safety capabilities including content policy enforcement, deduplication, labeling, and fraud detection and mitigation.
- Partner with legal, privacy, machine learning, and data teams to turn requirements, models, and pipelines into production systems.
- Set priorities independently and drive projects across team boundaries.
Requirements
- Experience designing low-latency APIs and distributed backend services running at high QPS in production.
- Proficiency writing scalable code in Golang; Java experience is welcome.
- Hands-on experience operating services on cloud infrastructure with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka and event-driven system design.
- Comfort working on systems whose correctness is externally audited and whose requirements originate outside development.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Preferred: AdTech experience and familiarity with IAB frameworks such as TCF.
- Preferred: background in privacy development, trust and safety, or fraud detection.
- Preferred: knowledge of global privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA.
- Preferred: experience with SQL, NoSQL, and key-value stores including Postgres, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Preferred: experience partnering with machine learning or data teams to deploy models and data pipelines.
- Preferred: familiarity with infrastructure as code and observability tools including Terraform, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
