Responsibilities
- Build complex Ruby on Rails services within the Workato platform.
- Research the Slack and Microsoft Teams ecosystems, understand trends, and track platform changes.
- Contribute throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
- Evaluate and propose improvements to existing systems.
- Investigate alternative technologies and present proposals for architectural review.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- At least 5 years of experience developing, shipping, and maintaining Rails applications.
- Strong object-oriented programming and design knowledge.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and social skills.
- Experience with Go is a nice-to-have qualification.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS or React is a nice-to-have qualification.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Teams or Slack platforms and APIs is a plus.
- Understanding of good user experience principles.
- Readiness to work remotely with globally distributed teams and time zones.
- Intermediate or higher spoken English.
