Base Salary

$85k - $118k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop application features and system enhancements using Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • Build, consume, and maintain RESTful APIs for integration across systems and services.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases.
  • Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security gaps, and perform testing and debugging.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and production deployment.
  • Implement asynchronous programming patterns and messaging queues for scalable, event-driven architectures.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Evaluate technical and business decisions for risk, policy, control, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in an applications development role delivering production-quality code.
  • Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs across distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL query development and troubleshooting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: familiarity with asynchronous programming and Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Preferred: experience with Agile development teams, code reviews, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Preferred: application security, vulnerability assessment, and secure coding experience.
  • Preferred: financial-services or regulated-environment experience.
  • Preferred: knowledge of Python for application development, automation, or data processing.
