Base Salary
$150k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship Premium management features across Stripe, Apple IAP, Google IAP, credit card payment flows, and post-purchase lifecycle management.
- Own projects end-to-end, including problem definition, technical design, implementation, rollout, and ongoing reliability.
- Partner with product, data, and operations teams to create safe, scalable, and usable systems.
- Improve reliability and observability by instrumenting services, debugging production issues, and raising engineering standards.
- Write design documents and RFCs, participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering feedback practices.
- Propose architectures, evaluate tradeoffs, and influence the product and technical roadmap.
- Mentor and unblock mid-level engineers through coaching, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience working with some combination of Node.js/TypeScript, React or a similar framework, Postgres or a similar relational database, and asynchronous queuing systems such as SQS.
- Experience with GraphQL is a plus.
- Ability to independently drive ambiguous problems from stakeholder alignment through reliable production outcomes.
- Experience defining success metrics, instrumenting systems, and applying analytics to interpret experiment results.
- Ability to improve observability, reliability, performance, data accuracy, and user experience across critical workflows.
- Ability to collaborate across product, data, operations, and engineering teams and influence technical direction.
- Bonus experience with ACH and credit card payments; Stripe, Apple IAP, or Google IAP; PII and PIFI; and responsible use of AI tools.
