Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to refine requirements, evaluate design options, and clarify technical feasibility.
  • Develop functionality for geometric modeling, B-Rep and topology operations, assemblies, drafting, data exchange, mold-and-die workflows, model repair, automation, and CAD APIs as assigned.
  • Independently analyze, design, implement, test, maintain, and release small-to-medium CAD features.
  • Break requirements into technical tasks, dependencies, estimates, and testable increments while communicating delivery risks.
  • Own feature delivery from design discussions through implementation, QA support, release, and initial stabilization.
  • Investigate and resolve difficult defects, customer-reported issues, recurring defects, and performance or stability problems.
  • Define unit, component, and integration test coverage and support QA with test design, defect investigation, and release stabilization.
  • Improve code structure, maintainability, memory behavior, technical documentation, development tools, test automation, and team workflows.
  • Participate in code reviews, root-cause analysis, technical investigations, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Evaluate and adopt suitable AI-enabled development or automation approaches while maintaining quality and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
  • 4 to 8 years of software development experience focused on CAD applications or related technologies.
  • Experience delivering software features from design through release.
  • Strong experience with C++, C#, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
  • Working knowledge of at least one CAD, geometric-modeling, graphics, engineering-software, or manufacturing domain.
  • Practical experience with source control, peer review, unit testing, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
  • Understanding of computational geometry, CAD modeling, B-Rep, topology, geometric tolerances, curves, surfaces, visualization, or data persistence.
  • Experience with debugging, profiling, problem isolation, and development in a large codebase.
  • ACIS Kernel experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAD kernels, third-party libraries, APIs, or CAD data-exchange formats is advantageous.
  • Ability to use AI-assisted tools while maintaining code-review, confidentiality, and quality requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, self-management, and technical knowledge-sharing skills.
