Responsibilities
- Design and maintain web and app test cases and test plans covering functionality, compatibility, and interaction.
- Develop and maintain UI and API automated tests using Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Combine automation with manual exploratory testing to validate user scenarios and identify experience issues.
- Perform root cause analysis on test failures and production issues and drive fixes to closure.
- Identify test-coverage gaps and improve automation effectiveness.
- Define expected behavior, system impact, and risk points when testing new features.
- Conduct app compatibility testing across devices, operating systems, and screen sizes, as well as web cross-browser and cross-resolution testing.
- Perform performance testing for page load, app startup, high concurrency, and weak-network conditions.
Requirements
- Strong coding ability in at least one of Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a live coding assessment required.
- 1–5 years of QA or test development experience, including at least one year of web or app automation testing.
- Extensive experience with web and app automation testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Playwright.
- Solid understanding of web and app testing methodologies and automation framework design.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and issue troubleshooting.
- Experience building testing tools, platforms, or quality infrastructure.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Android and iOS platform fundamentals.
- Strong root cause analysis, cross-platform testing, UX evaluation, communication, and quality ownership skills.
- Bonus qualifications include payment, transaction, or financial-system QA; crypto or Web3 experience; cloud device testing with Testin or WeTest; and weak-network testing with Charles or Fiddler.
