Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated checks, controlled deployments, and rollback capabilities.
- Build automated integration and regression testing frameworks, including test data preparation, environment setup, workflow simulation, and validation.
- Develop deployment, configuration, pre-market, monitoring, and operational automation.
- Create dashboards and actionable alerts for application health, connectivity, message flows, processing failures, and data quality.
- Investigate production incidents, identify root causes, and implement reliability, recovery, and recurrence-prevention improvements.
- Manage application environments and configuration across development, testing, and production.
- Support broker-dealer application systems covering connectivity, order and RFQ routing, order management, market and reference data, middle office, and post-trade processing.
- Maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, technical documentation, and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with developers, BA/QA colleagues, business users, infrastructure and security teams, and external vendors.
Requirements
- At least ten years of relevant experience in production engineering, DevOps, SRE, or software engineering with substantial production-systems responsibility.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience building maintainable, tested, documented automation tools.
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and environment configuration.
- Experience building automated integration or regression testing solutions, including test data management and system-behavior validation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, operating systems, networks, and messaging interfaces.
- Experience with monitoring dashboards, alerts, logs, metrics, production support, incident management, reliability, and recovery improvements.
- Confidence working across Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong communication, ownership, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- A degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
- Useful additional experience includes financial markets technology, institutional Sales & Trading, RFQ workflows, order management, post-trade processing, FIX connectivity, message validation, replay, and reconciliation tooling.
- Useful tools and languages include GitHub or GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, Kafka, MongoDB, Grafana, Nagios, Elasticsearch, C#, PowerShell, and Bash.
