Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Create automated test scripts using Playwright and Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Design and execute functional, regression, integration, API, cross-browser, and cross-platform tests.
- Develop and maintain API automation suites using REST Assured.
- Write complex SQL queries to validate backend data and application workflows.
- Use BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar platforms for browser and platform testing.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
- Analyze failures, troubleshoot issues, investigate defects, and collaborate with developers on resolution.
- Define, track, analyze, and report Quality Engineering metrics.
- Provide technical leadership in automation strategy, framework architecture, and testing practices.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Participate in test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and release readiness activities.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and test automation for web and mobile applications.
- At least 2–3 years of hands-on Playwright experience.
- Strong programming experience in at least one of Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Experience designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch and selecting tools based on project requirements.
- Strong experience with API automation testing using REST Assured.
- Knowledge of relational databases and the ability to write complex SQL queries using Oracle Database or other relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with cross-browser testing and automation using BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, or similar platforms.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and API testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and modern software development processes.
- Knowledge of Git and GitHub is preferred.
- Exposure to Generative AI/GenAI tools and applications is an advantage.
- Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring junior QA engineers.
