Base Salary
$128k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Align MineStar Office technical direction with enterprise strategy and maintain the product suite’s technical roadmap.
- Define scalable, maintainable, and secure application architectures with appropriate performance, availability, and security requirements.
- Produce application architecture, solution, logical and physical design, integration, data flow, deployment, technology selection, and architecture decision artifacts.
- Work alongside engineering teams to guide architecture decisions through planning, development, and release.
- Translate business needs into executable designs with product owners, delivery leads, platform teams, and commercial teams.
- Resolve technical constraints, design conflicts, and implementation risks while balancing delivery speed and long-term sustainability.
- Apply and evolve standards, patterns, and reference architectures while reducing technical debt and promoting reuse.
- Mentor engineers and build architecture and design capability across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of information technology trends and the ability to apply IT knowledge to organizational needs.
- Knowledge of tactical, operational, and strategic planning techniques.
- Knowledge of communication and relationship management concepts and practices.
- Ability to lead cross-team collaboration and coordinate work across functions.
- Ability to influence engineering teams through technical credibility, guide design decisions, and mentor engineers.
- Knowledge of solution architecture principles, patterns, and design methods for scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
- Knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, data flows, and interoperability across distributed systems.
- Knowledge of the software development life cycle and structured software delivery methods.
- 10+ years of experience in application development, application architecture, or related roles is preferred.
- Strong hands-on software engineering and application architecture experience is preferred.
- Experience with code, frameworks, APIs, and modern application platforms, including cloud-native patterns, is preferred.
- Experience turning ambiguous requirements into pragmatic designs that teams successfully deliver is preferred.
- Experience in mining, industrial, or operational technology environments is highly regarded.
