Base Salary
$150k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead reconciliation of transactions across Stripe, Highnote, Checkbook, and JPMorgan.
- Ensure internal records and customer-facing balances remain fully aligned.
- Develop and scale general ledger infrastructure for accuracy, resilience, and growth.
- Partner with Fragment to build a reliable ledger system capable of supporting billions of transactions.
- Design and implement money movement flows across payment rails including push-to-card and wire transfers.
- Own backend and platform projects end-to-end from design through production operations.
- Drive architecture that scales to billions in annual payment volume and supports real-time risk controls.
- Collaborate with product and go-to-market leads to turn ambiguous problems into production code.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building B2B or B2C SaaS products.
- Fintech, payments, or marketplace experience is a plus, with prior payments or back-office fintech experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-ownership, low-bureaucracy environment while balancing speed with rigor.
- Experience with automated tests, clean abstractions, and clear documentation.
- Ability to dive deeply into code and learn new tools quickly; the team uses React, Ruby, and Postgres.
- Strong communication skills across time zones.
- Ability to work in the office four days per week, Monday through Thursday, in the San Francisco Bay Area or Montreal.
