Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud and hybrid infrastructure across multi-account and multi-region environments.
- Deploy, configure, operate, patch, and upgrade vendor-supplied applications in coordination with third-party vendors.
- Own infrastructure and application availability, performance, security, reliability, monitoring, and incident management.
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines that automate testing, security scanning, and deployment workflows.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks using Infrastructure as Code and scripting.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, observability, performance optimization, and cloud cost-control practices.
- Partner with internal and vendor teams on infrastructure deployment and application integration.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to teammates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience with public cloud services, including compute, networking, databases, Kubernetes, IAM, and monitoring, using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with Terraform or AWS CDK for Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management.
- Experience operating workloads across cloud and on-premises or hybrid environments.
- Experience deploying and managing vendor-provided applications, including upgrades, patching, and configuration.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL/RDS, DynamoDB, Redis, or ElastiCache.
- Familiarity with message-driven systems such as SQS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or a similar scripting language for automation.
- Preferred qualifications include relevant AWS, Azure, or GCP certification; distributed-systems troubleshooting; security and compliance framework familiarity; observability-platform experience; and software development experience.
- Telecom, satellite, or other high-availability and mission-critical environment experience is preferred.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above and the ability to collaborate with globally distributed teams are preferred.
