Base Salary

$170k - $190k/yr

Responsibilities

Lead and participate in the complete biosignal algorithm development lifecycle for medical devices, including specifications, data curation and labeling, development, failure analysis, production, maintenance, and documentation.
Select, implement, and develop appropriate statistical, signal-processing, machine learning, and deep learning methods for each problem.
Improve internal machine learning and deep learning tools, model architectures, algorithmic techniques, and reusable code to support rapid experimentation.
Promote well-documented, user-friendly, and thoroughly tested algorithm implementations, including unit testing, continuous integration, and non-regression testing.
Present technical results to stakeholders and support clients in applying Beacon algorithms.
Partner with client-facing teams to understand and shape the impact of deployed and future algorithms.

More than 5 years of industry experience in machine learning and deep learning, particularly in health sciences or other regulated fields, with a record of bringing algorithms into production.
Experience with digital signal processing and statistics, including judgment about when methods beyond machine learning are appropriate.
Proficiency with PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks for training, developing, and deploying models.
Knowledge of current deep learning techniques, including Transformers, Vision Transformers, large-scale modeling, and large-model training.
Experience with software and machine learning engineering practices such as testing, version control, code reviews, documentation, Dockerization, continuous integration and deployment, and experiment tracking.
Experience with biosignals, medical imaging data, or large time-series datasets, or enthusiasm for learning the domain.
Ability to communicate complex technical topics appropriately to internal and external audiences.
Ability and willingness to participate in algorithm scoping, data wrangling, experimentation, formal validation, quality and regulatory documentation, production deployment, and client collaboration.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with open communication and continuous feedback.

Fully remote role based anywhere in the United States, with office hubs in Boston, New York City, and Paris.
