Base Salary
$100k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Broadcom account directors, solution architects, partners, and customer stakeholders to qualify infrastructure solutions and architect hybrid frameworks.
- Advise customers during early modernization planning and translate complex infrastructure requirements into actionable technical recommendations.
- Lead and execute product integration demonstrations, customized trials, and proofs of concept.
- Model, implement, configure, upgrade, integrate, and optimize Broadcom mainframe infrastructure and open-systems solutions.
- Evaluate architectural changes, upgrade paths, migrations from competitive products, and cross-platform interoperability.
- Produce technical specifications, architecture requirements, system integration instructions, and supporting documentation.
- Oversee deployment, performance tuning, and post-implementation troubleshooting in complex customer environments.
- Provide technical knowledge transfer to customer system administration and operations teams.
- Maintain expert knowledge of Broadcom mainframe infrastructure and open-systems integration products and communicate progress to project managers and enterprise stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
- 8+ years of related experience with mainframe infrastructure, systems, open-systems interfaces, and enterprise system tools.
- Deep knowledge of mainframe infrastructure, systems administration and programming practices, system utilities, and z/OS architecture components.
- Hands-on experience integrating mainframe infrastructure with open systems using tools such as Zowe, REST APIs, Model Context Protocol, CLI, or open-source hybrid integration tools.
- Experience implementing, configuring, or upgrading mainframe infrastructure software and establishing security interfaces and cross-system communication layers.
- Proficiency with REXX, Java, and JCL, plus experience with modern automation or scripting languages.
- Understanding of the competitive enterprise infrastructure software marketplace.
- Strong technical communication, requirement translation, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and knowledge-transfer skills.
- Ability to travel to client sites.
