Responsibilities
- Build and improve search, review, and AI-powered agents for accuracy and consistency.
- Build reliable user-facing features in the Next.js/React application.
- Develop backend APIs, data models, and workflow execution paths.
- Write maintainable production code and contribute to system design and architecture.
- Own meaningful features and technical problems from initial idea through implementation.
- Work with engineers, product teammates, and users to translate problems into product improvements.
Requirements
- US citizenship is required because the role supports work subject to US government contracts and ITAR/EAR export-control regulations.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong computer science fundamentals and demonstrated software engineering ability through internships, coursework, research, projects, or other experience.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and willingness to work across Python and TypeScript/React.
- Strong problem-solving, learning, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Product-minded approach, proactive ownership, and willingness to tackle challenging ambiguous problems.
- Preferred qualifications include software engineering internship or software-building experience; Python, TypeScript, React, or Next.js experience; LLM, AI agent, RAG, backend, API, database, distributed-systems, document-processing, or search/retrieval experience; open-source, research, club, hackathon, startup, or substantial personal-project experience; interest in defense or national security; and an active or current security clearance.
