Responsibilities
- Build cloud-native backend services for a multi-tenant SaaS distributed ecosystem.
- Implement React UI components, integrate frontend views with APIs, and support cross-functional frontend delivery.
- Write maintainable TypeScript across Node.js/NestJS backend services and frontend applications.
- Own features end to end from API definition and backend services through frontend integration and automated deployments.
- Help drive the migration of a critical configuration application to cloud-native architecture.
- Collaborate with frontend leads and senior engineers across Motorola Solutions and D-Fend.
- Build and run distributed services and contribute to observability, infrastructure, security, and telemetry initiatives where applicable.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience with strong backend and hands-on web frontend capabilities.
- Practical proficiency in React and TypeScript sufficient to handle frontend requirements independently.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, REST/GraphQL APIs, and NestJS or Express.
- Experience building distributed services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to collaborate with neighboring teams on shared UI standards, components, and APIs.
- Preferred experience with Terraform, Helm, or Serverless Framework.
- Preferred experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor for development assistance.
- Preferred knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and mTLS.
- Preferred experience with time-series telemetry pipelines, long-term storage tiering, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.
