Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java 21, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Develop modern frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Design, develop, and maintain APIs and platform integrations.
- Build and support event-driven integrations using Apache Kafka.
- Develop and optimize application interactions with relational databases.
- Maintain code quality through automated testing, peer reviews, JUnit, SonarQube, and secure coding practices.
- Identify and address security findings and vulnerabilities using Fortify and other security scans.
- Build and package applications with Maven and support deployment and operations in Tomcat-based environments, Argo, and Rancher.
- Investigate and troubleshoot technical issues using logs, monitoring tools, and Elasticsearch.
- Maintain code, configuration, and technical documentation using Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement across the programme.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software development experience, including hands-on full-stack development.
- Strong practical experience with Java, ideally Java 21, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
- Solid experience with API design and integration.
- Practical experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven integrations.
- Good knowledge of relational databases and database interactions.
- Experience with automated testing, JUnit, Git, and code-review practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Understanding of secure coding and software quality practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within an international, cross-functional team.
- Very good command of English.
- Nice-to-have experience with microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native application development, containerized environments, CI/CD, DevSecOps, SonarQube, Fortify, Argo, Rancher, Elasticsearch, performance optimization, scalability optimization, and large-scale platform or integration programmes.
