Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java 21, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Build frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Design and maintain APIs, platform integrations, and Apache Kafka event-driven integrations.
- Develop application interactions with relational databases and optimize performance and scalability.
- Implement automated testing and code-quality practices using JUnit, SonarQube, peer reviews, and secure coding practices.
- Address security findings and vulnerabilities identified through Fortify and other security scans.
- Build and package applications with Maven and support deployment in Tomcat-based, Argo, and Rancher environments.
- Investigate technical issues using logs, monitoring tools, and Elasticsearch.
- Maintain code, configuration, and documentation using Git, Jira, and Confluence.
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, test engineers, DevOps specialists, and an international cross-functional team.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including hands-on full-stack development.
- Strong practical experience with Java, ideally Java 21, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Strong hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
- Solid experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
- Practical experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven integrations.
- Good knowledge of relational databases and database interactions.
- Experience with automated testing, JUnit, Git, and code-review practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Understanding of secure coding and software quality practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in an international, cross-functional team.
- Very good command of English.
- Experience with microservices, distributed systems, cloud-native application development, and containerized environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices and experience with SonarQube, Fortify, Argo, Rancher, and Elasticsearch are preferred.
- Experience with performance optimization and large-scale platform or integration programmes is preferred.
