Responsibilities
- Analyse operational processes with stakeholders and design and implement end-to-end software solutions.
- Participate in software design and architecture discussions.
- Develop clean, well-tested Java code according to engineering standards.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and contribute to containerisation and cloud deployments.
- Optimise, stabilise, and improve Air Perishables applications.
- Collaborate with business leaders, operational teams, product teams, and technology colleagues.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and share recommendations.
- Participate in stand-ups, planning, code reviews, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is advantageous.
- Strong foundational or production-level full-stack Java development experience, including Java 17 or later.
- Technical expertise in Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, JUnit, Git, Maven, and Docker.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, TypeScript, PWA, Ionic, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Kafka-based system integrations.
- Practical Agile or Kanban experience in distributed or international teams.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and resolve ambiguity.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
- Air Perishables operations knowledge and strong communication skills are advantageous.
