Base Salary

$180k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

Partner with product owners, executive leadership, design, sales, and marketing to define and build simple, valuable solutions.
Champion AI-native development practices and mentor the engineering organization on using AI to improve sprint velocity and code quality.
Build and operate robust systems at scale while maintaining high security standards for schools.
Help establish unified technical direction and a culture of technical excellence and speed.
Review pull requests and design the future architecture, including the evolution of monolithic systems.
Represent the engineering team in high-stakes discussions with non-technical stakeholders.

Mastery of large-scale services using Ruby, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP.
Deep knowledge of distributed systems, relational databases, and AWS infrastructure.
Experience with MySQL, Postgres, Aurora, RDS, and SQS.
An AI-native development workflow using LLMs and AI agents to reduce boilerplate, accelerate debugging, and support architectural work.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to drive business value across technical and non-technical groups.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
