Base Salary
$158k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Engage with Product and Program Managers to understand customer requirements and develop solutions.
- Design, code, and deploy scalable services and platform components supporting developer tooling across Amazon Ads.
- Build AI-native capabilities that improve context discovery, change planning, execution, and software delivery workflows.
- Work directly with Ads engineers to identify development friction and improve developer tools and services.
- Ensure code is testable, maintainable, scalable, and operationally efficient.
- Participate in operational responsibilities and collaborate with engineering teams across the organization.
- Author technical documents and communicate clearly with engineering partners.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
