Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, build, and maintain high-performance Java microservices for post-trade orders and executions.
- Solve concurrency, low-latency messaging, distributed-systems, and large-scale data-processing challenges.
- Collaborate with traders, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Champion code quality, automated unit/integration/regression testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
- Modernize the platform using Kafka, Docker, OpenShift, and related technologies.
- Mentor and coach mid-level and senior developers and analysts as a technical advisor.
- Own the full development lifecycle from architecture and implementation through deployment and operational support.
- Assess risk, maintain regulatory compliance, protect firm and client assets, and escalate control issues transparently.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in hands-on software architecture, design, and development.
- Deep server-side Java expertise, including multithreading, performance tuning, and scalable application development.
- Proven experience architecting and implementing complex distributed systems and cloud microservices.
- Strong relational-database skills including data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with high-throughput messaging platforms, specifically Kafka and Solace.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools including Git, Jenkins, and Maven or Gradle.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership experience in an Agile delivery environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: financial markets expertise, especially exchange-traded derivatives and futures trading.
- Preferred: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, MongoDB, FIX Protocol, and AI tools.
Benefits
- Full-time position.
- Base salary range of $120,800.00–$170,800.00.
