Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and implement small to large software enhancements and solutions with ownership of delivery quality and maintainability.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate business requirements into sustainable software.
- Participate in product architecture design and contribute to scalable, supportable technical solutions.
- Develop and implement applications and services using Java, C#, SQL, React, and related software engineering technologies.
- Write unit and automation tests, conduct manual testing, and participate in code reviews.
- Mentor junior developers and help establish engineering best practices across the team.
- Create design and API documentation and participate in customer documentation processes.
- Participate in the CRD scrum methodology, including standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate across teams to complete assignments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign education equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or another technical field.
- 4 to 7 years of progressively responsible professional software engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, SQL, and related software engineering technologies, with the ability to deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
- Strongly desired: 2 to 5 years of financial services development experience in portfolio management, trading, compliance, post-trade, IBOR, or wealth management.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with peers.
- Preferred experience with modern React web application development and related libraries.
- Preferred experience with object-oriented programming, REST APIs, event-driven systems, automated testing, scripting, and performance-focused engineering practices.
- Preferred experience with SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, Temporal, GitHub Copilot, and agentic AI tools.
- Experience with C# and WinForms is valuable for maintaining legacy software components.
