Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable web and mobile solutions for Thermo King’s connected product ecosystem.
- Architect and maintain secure, distributed, multitenant microservices and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microsoft Azure.
- Build production-grade responsive, accessible, and performant frontend applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Develop and deploy RESTful and Graph APIs integrated with Azure services and Java Spring Boot backends.
- Implement Azure-native, serverless, event-driven, message-based, containerized, and infrastructure-as-code solutions.
- Develop and scale IoT applications using Azure IoT services, including IoT Hub, Device Provisioning, and Time Series Insights.
- Implement secure authentication, authorization, single sign-on, token-based authentication, tenant isolation, data partitioning, and SaaS subscription capabilities.
- Monitor, diagnose, analyze, and optimize Azure-based backend performance and reliability.
- Apply Azure security, identity and access management, networking, compliance, cost optimization, and cloud-native application practices.
- Collaborate on modern UI/UX design using tools such as Figma and Sketch.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on backend development experience, including significant Java and Spring Boot work in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Advanced Java and Spring Boot development skills and experience designing scalable backend systems, APIs, distributed systems, and microservices.
- Significant production frontend development experience with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services including Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Azure Logic Apps, Event Grid, Service Bus, and Azure DevOps tools.
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases, including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Azure Pipelines, and GitHub Actions.
- Deep understanding of Azure compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring, resource management, and cost optimization.
- Experience with Azure AD B2C, OAuth flows, single sign-on, token-based authentication, and identity and access management.
- Experience implementing multitenant SaaS architectures, serverless computing, event-driven architectures, message-based systems, and secure coding practices.
- Working knowledge of ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform for Azure.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Experience diagnosing performance bottlenecks and building reliable, high-availability systems.
- Familiarity with UI/UX design collaboration and tools such as Figma and Sketch.
- Microsoft Azure or Oracle Java certifications, including Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate, or Oracle Certified Professional: Java, are relevant qualifications.
