Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable web, mobile, backend, frontend, and IoT solutions for a connected product ecosystem.
- Architect and maintain secure, distributed, multi-tenant microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Microsoft Azure.
- Build modern, responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Develop and integrate RESTful and Graph APIs with Azure-hosted Java and Spring Boot services.
- Implement serverless, event-driven, message-based, SaaS, authentication, authorization, and tenant-isolation architectures.
- Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure applications and Java/Spring Boot services for performance, scalability, and high availability.
- Develop and scale IoT applications using the Azure IoT suite.
- Apply cloud infrastructure, security, identity, compliance, networking, cost optimization, and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of hands-on backend development experience, including significant Java and Spring Boot work in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Proven experience designing scalable backend systems, APIs, distributed microservices, and multi-tenant solutions.
- Significant production frontend development experience with Next.js and the React ecosystem, including TypeScript.
- Expertise with Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, Azure Logic Apps, Azure AD B2C, and OAuth flows.
- Experience with serverless computing, event-driven architecture, Event Grid, Service Bus, relational and non-relational databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Experience with Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps tools, and infrastructure-as-code tools including ARM templates, Bicep, and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of authentication, single sign-on, token-based authentication, identity and access management, Azure security, networking, monitoring, and cloud-native application patterns.
- Experience with MongoDB, Azure IoT Hub, Device Provisioning, Time Series Insights, SaaS billing or subscription management, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance such as GDPR and HIPAA and with UI/UX collaboration tools such as Figma and Sketch.
- Microsoft Azure or Java/Spring Boot certifications are relevant preferred qualifications, including Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Developer Associate, or Oracle Certified Professional: Java.
- Ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks, resolve reliability issues, and build high-availability systems.
