Cyber Product Security Engineer, Lead

Responsibilities
- Lead secure development efforts with product engineering teams using threat modeling, secure design reviews, vulnerability assessments, and security testing.
- Integrate security requirements and controls into the product development lifecycle with product managers, engineers, and architects.
- Oversee security risk assessments and mitigation plans for new and existing products.
- Lead product security policies, standards, and best practices aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Introduce and use an Application Security Posture Management platform to assess applications, services, and pipelines and prioritize risk remediation.
- Monitor application security incidents and coordinate incident response and remediation efforts.
- Maintain product security architecture, process, and procedure documentation and track emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- 8+ years of extensive and progressive experience in application security focused on secure software development practices and techniques.
- Strong understanding of web application vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies, including the OWASP Top 10.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for web application development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- CISSP, CSSLP, CEH, or similar certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud security, containerization, and DevSecOps practices is a plus.
- Additional preferred experience includes cybersecurity policy implementation, risk management in regulated environments, cybersecurity regulations and laws, and cyber incident response.
