Responsibilities
- Develop Java-based software for global or enterprise product development projects.
- Design and implement REST APIs, microservices, service communication, and API-, file-, and message-based integrations.
- Build frontend solutions using Angular and React.
- Work with SQL Server, MongoDB, Hibernate/JPA, and transaction management.
- Apply software design patterns, layered architectures, object-oriented design, clean coding practices, and performance optimization.
- Implement unit and functional testing with automated builds, deployments, and testing.
- Use performance profiling, memory analysis, and SonarQube-based static code analysis.
- Work with Azure, Azure DevOps, Docker, and cloud-native development practices.
- Collaborate with development teams through stand-ups and continuous improvement practices.
- Follow development guidelines, coding standards, and the stated Lean, Kanban, and Scaled Agile practices.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring/Spring Boot development.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices, integration patterns, and service communication.
- Experience with SQL, Angular, React, MongoDB, Hibernate/JPA, and transaction management.
- Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Knowledge of performance profiling, memory analysis, object-oriented design, layered architectures, and clean coding practices.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Docker, cloud platforms, automated CI/CD pipelines, and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
- Experience with API-based, file-based, and message-based integrations; Azure Service Bus experience is relevant.
- Two to five years of hands-on Java software development experience on global or enterprise projects.
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering or Computer Science, an MCA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in product development environments and understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, learning, and continuous-improvement abilities.
- Experience with shipping/logistics workflows or scientific data processing, including genomics or laboratory systems, is preferred.
