Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, support, and improve software based on technical designs.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services and SaaS products.
- Identify system issues and recurring patterns, develop standard operating procedures, and improve application quality.
- Maintain existing codebases, conduct peer code reviews, and participate in architecture and code reviews.
- Investigate and apply relevant technologies, including cloud, DevOps, and AI modernization solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, and customer support to resolve technical issues.
- Lead work across projects, mentor less experienced developers, and make independent technical decisions.
- Translate AI innovation, automation, and LLM capabilities into business and productivity improvements.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in Java full-stack development and Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 10 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is a plus.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture skills, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, CI/CD DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Experience with React, SQL and NoSQL databases, data architecture, Pulsar, and Snowflake is preferred.
- Experience with software security tools and best practices and at least one shell scripting language.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Proven experience leading cloud, DevOps, or AI modernization initiatives and working across cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, presentation, facilitation, decision-making, and customer-focused skills.
