Responsibilities
- Manage data and infrastructure operations, including SQL queries, CI/CD pipeline creation and optimization, and VM and cloud-based deployments.
- Drive incident and request management through ServiceNow while maintaining SLA compliance, ownership, and proactive issue resolution.
- Build and refine monitoring and observability using Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Perform root cause analyses, participate in blameless post-incident reviews, and develop preventive action plans.
- Automate operations and diagnostics using Python, Shell, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Support the reliability, accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of data pipelines, ETL processes, dashboards, and analytics platforms.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, IT Infrastructure, security, and compliance teams on production issues and operational standards.
- Contribute to capacity planning, scaling, performance optimization, and service reliability improvements using operational metrics.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and support mission-critical environments through a 24-5 rotational model.
Requirements
- 6 to 8+ years of experience in DataOps, DevOps, infrastructure operations, site reliability engineering, or analytics platform support.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and diagnostics.
- Strong DevOps and AWS experience, including familiarity with AWS services.
- Strong Python skills or Shell scripting experience for automation and diagnostics.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Git-based version control.
- Proficiency with Datadog, Grafana, and Prometheus; these are also listed as good-to-have skills.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Working knowledge of Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code.
- Experience with incident management, SLA/SLI/SLO maintenance, escalation handling, system metrics, and performance improvement.
- Ability to collaborate with global technical and non-technical teams and prioritize effectively under pressure.
