Responsibilities
- Define and drive the architecture and technical strategy for large-scale data-processing platforms.
- Lead hands-on coding, implementation, design, optimization, and peer review of complex modules and framework components.
- Mentor developers and guide technical teams toward high standards of code quality and engineering excellence.
- Translate complex business requirements into secure, scalable, performant, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Establish engineering best practices involving object-oriented programming, design patterns, clean coding, testing, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, product owners, and technology leaders on roadmaps and delivery.
- Evaluate and adopt technologies and methodologies while influencing technical decisions across the organization.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on Big Data development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and Apache Spark.
- Strong understanding of Funds Transfer Pricing processes and financial systems.
- Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming, advanced design patterns, and clean coding practices.
- Proven experience architecting, building, and optimizing large-scale, mission-critical distributed data-processing systems.
- Extensive experience with REST APIs, RDBMS, and Kafka or similar messaging systems.
- Deep experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Significant experience working in and leading teams within Agile environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers.
- Extensive Databricks experience is highly preferred.
- Deep familiarity and experience building AI-powered solutions and AI agents.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
