Responsibilities

  • Design and implement critical new features and architectural improvements for real-time pricing applications.
  • Develop robust, testable Java code and non-functional improvements for reliability, scalability, and performance.
  • Contribute to automated test suites, code reviews, debugging, profiling, and monitoring activities.
  • Collaborate with global development teams, Credit Trading, application support, and management teams on integrations and system enhancements.
  • Analyze complex business and system processes, define issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Establish and apply standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
  • Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as necessary.
  • Assess and manage technology, compliance, operational, and control risks.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in software application programming and system analysis.
  • Strong Java programming and Java ecosystem experience.
  • Experience addressing application performance and component testability concerns.
  • Familiarity with credit derivative products and associated pricing and risk calculations.
  • Knowledge of streaming frameworks and challenges in implementing real-time, high-performance systems.
  • Experience working in a mature, large, collaborative development environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to adjust priorities proactively.
  • Exposure to profiling, debugging, and monitoring tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
  • UI development experience and Front Office technology experience are considered a plus.
