Responsibilities
- Build machine learning models that work in the physical world.
- Contribute to the curation of training and evaluation data.
- Propose and build ML evaluation metrics aligned with company goals.
- Quickly prototype generative models and analyze improvements.
- Collaborate with research scientists and engineers in a joint codebase.
- Maintain compute and ML development infrastructure.
- Plan wet lab testing campaigns with the bio team.
- Learn from wet lab results and provide feedback to models.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in ML.
- Gain understanding of protein and cell biology.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and present at conferences.
Requirements
- Strong experience in machine learning and generative modeling.
- Proven track record in notable ML projects and publications.
- Experience in building ML data pipelines for deep learning models.
- Ability to write robust, maintainable ML code.
- Experience with cloud hardware and parallelizing data/models.
- Passion for optimizing model performance and understanding ML libraries.
- Experience in computational biology or protein design is a plus.
- Academic background in physics, biology, chemistry, or related fields.
