Responsibilities
- Provide tier-2 support, troubleshooting, monitoring, and root cause analysis for production healthcare applications.
- Participate in required 24/7 on-call coverage and application support rotations.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain application enhancements, workflows, APIs, services, and database structures.
- Lead small to medium development and upgrade initiatives while ensuring quality, performance, stability, and alignment with business needs.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Integration, Reporting, Help Desk, stakeholders, and technical teams to resolve issues and deliver scalable solutions.
- Implement changes using development standards, version control, deployment processes, and organizational policies.
- Own application modules and issues, act as a technical liaison, and mentor junior team members.
- Maintain technical documentation and support requirements definition, test-case development, and validation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business administration, management systems, electronics technology, computer engineering, health information management, or a directly related field.
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.
- Strong experience developing with C#, .NET Core or .NET 6+, and ASP.NET Core, including web APIs and backend services.
- Experience designing service-based architectures and working with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud-based application development, preferably Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Functions, and Storage.
- Experience with OAuth2, JWT, secure API design, object-oriented design, software engineering practices, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Epic Software, clinical software, and healthcare information systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, design scalable solutions, manage priorities independently, collaborate across teams, communicate effectively, document technical work, and mentor others.
- Epic certification is preferred.
