Base Salary
$150k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve simulation and resimulation cloud frameworks and applications using Python, open-source packages, and cloud services.
- Benchmark systems, identify scalability and performance bottlenecks, and build dashboards to track results.
- Improve framework usability based on user feedback and interactions with autonomy, systems, and test teams.
- Document the framework and enable other teams to extend resimulation capabilities independently.
- Contribute to efficient vehicle-log storage and search, automated indexing, and dataset coverage analysis.
- Develop framework support for performance metrics and implement metrics for autonomous-vehicle analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master’s degree plus 2+ years of relevant experience or a PhD.
- Expertise writing efficient, well-documented, and well-tested Python code.
- At least 2 years of experience writing scalable applications that execute in cloud or HPC environments.
- At least 2 years of experience writing software that interacts with AWS and/or GCP services.
- Familiarity with NumPy and scientific programming.
- Ability and willingness to learn how onboard and offboard components interact and improve developer and tester workflows.
- C++ development experience is preferred.
- Kubernetes experience is preferred.
