Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize robust, scalable AI services powering business AI and ML applications.
- Establish software engineering practices and standards for code quality, performance, scalability, and architecture.
- Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and machine learning researchers to integrate and operate AI applications at scale.
- Lead technical design decisions and system architecture for AI applications and projects, including API design, data models, and integration patterns.
- Build resilient cloud and on-premises systems for hosting AI services.
- Design and build infrastructure for agentic workflow systems and self-hosted ML models.
- Implement performance optimization, caching strategies, observability, monitoring, and logging for distributed systems.
Requirements
- Relevant experience designing and implementing distributed systems and software architectures for AI services.
- Proven expertise in code review, testing, design patterns, software architecture, and software engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying scalable applications and services with modern frameworks and technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes or OpenShift Container Platform.
- Experience with APIs, event-driven architectures, microservices, and service-oriented architectures.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Golang.
- Experience deploying applications across hybrid on-premises and major cloud environments such as AWS and Azure.
- Experience designing data access layers and working with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB in production.
- Understanding of machine learning model serving, inference optimization, and ML system design patterns.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging practices.
