Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical stakeholder for multiple projects and teams within the fintech portfolio.
  • Partner with development managers to define technical roadmaps and drive multi-year technical strategy and architectural direction.
  • Identify and resolve major technical challenges that unblock product opportunities.
  • Architect, review, and write high-quality, well-tested code, including through the orchestration of AI agents.
  • Collaborate with developers to solve complex problems and deliver scalable customer solutions.
  • Simplify coding patterns, interfaces, and abstractions.
  • Review and provide feedback on peer code across teams.
  • Mentor teammates and contribute to a constructive learning and feedback culture.

Requirements

  • Experience building web applications at scale and high-throughput distributed systems.
  • Experience with invoicing, payments, or financial products such as payroll.
  • Demonstrated success mentoring software developers, particularly in large-scale SaaS environments.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively with distributed teams and customers.
  • Broad technical knowledge for solving complex engineering problems.
  • A portfolio of successful projects and lessons learned from unsuccessful projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and customers.
