Responsibilities
- Architect and build a new technology capability from the ground up.
- Own key technical and architectural decisions and establish long-term technical direction.
- Design, build, prototype, experiment with, and evaluate software solutions.
- Develop AI-enabled solutions using LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Integrate Infor technologies with external platforms and systems.
- Design scalable, maintainable, production-ready solutions.
- Establish engineering standards, development practices, and architectural principles for a newly formed team.
- Work autonomously to identify problems and opportunities and collaborate with experienced technical colleagues.
Requirements
- Significant professional software engineering experience across complex products, platforms, or enterprise systems.
- Strong experience in software architecture, system design, and long-term technical decision-making.
- A strong track record of hands-on software development.
- Practical knowledge of modern AI technologies, including LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to use AI-assisted development effectively.
- Ability to distinguish promising prototypes from scalable, maintainable, production-ready architecture.
- Ability to create direction, make sound technical decisions, and move ideas forward independently.
- Curiosity, adaptability, willingness to experiment, and comfort working with unresolved technical questions.
- Experience with Python or JavaScript/TypeScript is preferred; Java, systems architecture, product engineering, and building new products or platforms are valuable.
