Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead DSP architecture and technical execution across multiple product platforms.
- Translate research algorithms and MATLAB/Simulink models into optimized, production-quality C/C++ implementations.
- Design reusable DSP libraries, configurable reference chains, component boundaries, interfaces, and processing requirements.
- Lead fixed-point and floating-point design, numerical analysis, profiling, optimization, debugging, and hardware bring-up.
- Optimize compute, memory, latency, and power performance on embedded DSPs and processors.
- Define validation strategies using reference outputs, test vectors, automated regression tests, and target measurements.
- Establish engineering standards for design reviews, code quality, documentation, and release readiness.
- Mentor engineers, guide technical decisions, and lead cross-functional initiatives across distributed teams.
- Collaborate with research, product, algorithm, systems, firmware, hardware, ML, and ANC/ANR teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 12+ years of relevant DSP and embedded software development experience.
- Deep expertise in digital signal processing and delivering algorithms from research or prototype through production deployment.
- Expert-level C/C++ skills and strong MATLAB/Simulink experience.
- Extensive fixed-point and floating-point DSP experience, including numerical analysis and performance trade-offs.
- Hands-on experience developing and optimizing real-time software on embedded DSPs or processors, including Cadence HiFi, ARM, or Qualcomm Hexagon.
- Experience designing modular, reusable DSP libraries, frameworks, or platform components across products or targets.
- Ability to diagnose complex algorithm, memory, timing, and integration issues using profiling, debugging, and laboratory tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and communicate design decisions effectively.
- Ability to work onsite in Framingham, Massachusetts and collaborate with teams across locations.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Preferred: experience with equalization, dynamics, filtering, sample-rate conversion, spatial audio, or voice processing.
- Preferred: SIMD/vector optimization using processor intrinsics or assembly, including ARM Neon/Helium, Cadence HiFi, Qualcomm Hexagon, or x64 SIMD.
- Preferred: low-latency streaming audio, RTOS or embedded Linux, multicore SoCs, Embedded Coder, automated test infrastructure, continuous integration, ML inference, or ANC/ANR controls.
