Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate production-grade AI and ML services, APIs, libraries, and reusable platform components.
- Own workflows covering data preparation, feature engineering, model integration, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Build resilient data pipelines, distributed processing frameworks, and production software services using Python, Spark, SQL, and Hadoop ecosystem tools.
- Support migration of on-premises data workflows to cloud platforms including Databricks, Cloudera, and AWS.
- Develop automated deployment workflows and improve monitoring, observability, reliability, data quality, security, compliance, governance, documentation, and automation.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product teams, and platform engineers to turn research and prototypes into scalable production systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Advanced Python and SQL skills with strong software engineering fundamentals in modular design, APIs, testing, debugging, performance optimization, and maintainability.
- Experience with predictive analytics, machine learning, advanced statistics, open-source tools, and data techniques.
- High proficiency with Python/Spark, Hadoop platforms and tools including Hive, Impala, Airflow, and NiFi, and SQL for building big data products and platforms.
- Experience building and deploying production-level data applications, processing workflows, pipelines, or machine learning systems at scale using Java, Scala, or Python.
- Experience across data ingestion, feature engineering, modeling, tuning, evaluation, monitoring, and analytics delivery.
- Preferred qualifications include financial institution or payments experience; integrated cloud application experience with Azure, Databricks, AWS, or GCP; dashboard development; and experience working in Agile teams.
- Strong quantitative, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organizational, self-direction, flexibility, and attention-to-detail skills.
