Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own the Endpoint Security client for macOS.
- Manage the enforcement decision path, ensuring timely policy evaluations.
- Reduce enforce-mode latency across large fleets.
- Extend enforcement capabilities to network and content control.
- Ensure compatibility and stability across different macOS versions.
- Collaborate with Linux and Windows enforcement teams on shared policies.
- Identify gaps and risks in requirements and propose solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers on macOS systems and Endpoint Security.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of macOS system internals and the Endpoint Security framework.
- Experience with synchronous authorization paths and enforcement mechanisms.
- Familiarity with macOS deployment realities, including System Extension activation.
- Knowledge of macOS isolation and security models.
- Proficiency in debugging and performance tools like lldb and Instruments.
- 8+ years of experience in systems-level software engineering focused on macOS.
- Demonstrated experience with AI-driven development tools.
- Strong grasp of systems design patterns and their tradeoffs.
