Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end automated test suites for AGNI authentication flows, REST APIs, network policy enforcement, and device onboarding, primarily in Go.
- Own test coverage for product domains by deriving test plans, implementing cases, triaging failures, and maintaining tests as the product evolves.
- Build and extend test utilities for simulated RADIUS/EAPOL clients, browser automation, certificate handling, and REST API access.
- Perform root-cause analysis on test failures, reproduce product bugs, and collaborate with backend engineers on fixes.
- Review feature specifications and create test plans covering happy paths, boundary conditions, and failure modes.
- Own and improve Jenkins CI pipelines for nightly end-to-end testing across cloud and on-premises deployments.
- Contribute testability improvements, logging improvements, and small bounded bug fixes to the platform codebase.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns on test design, debugging, and the team’s test framework.
- Participate in incident post-mortems and customer issue reviews to identify and close test coverage gaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
- 3–6 years of hands-on software engineering experience, including significant test automation or quality engineering experience rather than only manual testing.
- Proficiency in Go or Python for production-grade automation code, with Go strongly preferred.
- Solid Linux administration and debugging skills, including process management, networking tools, and log analysis.
- Working knowledge of enterprise authentication protocols such as 802.1X, RADIUS, EAP variants, TACACS+, or PKI and certificate management.
- Hands-on experience testing REST APIs and building reliable API clients in code.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, including pipeline development, failure triage, and reliability improvements.
- Strong debugging ability and clear written communication for test plans, bug reports, and post-mortem documentation.
- Preferred experience with Docker, GCP, AWS, Prometheus, Grafana, browser automation frameworks, PKI infrastructure, SCEP/EST, TLS troubleshooting, and PostgreSQL or equivalent database testing.
