Responsibilities
- Perform automation testing and support for Interac products and services, with a focus on the Money Movement product.
- Review functional and design specifications to understand products and define appropriate testing approaches.
- Design and document integration automation frameworks and best practices to maximize coverage while minimizing test-cycle time and maintenance costs.
- Evaluate automation scripts and recommend changes based on requirements.
- Develop microservices automation strategies covering integration, end-to-end user flows, service dependencies, and database integrations.
- Define, collect, validate, and monitor automation metrics for integration testing efficiency.
- Develop non-functional automation tests for service interactions, timeouts, and retries as needed for releases.
- Create, maintain, optimize, and report on automation frameworks and test results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years of direct software development experience with strong hands-on experience in software automation testing, test-case development, test execution, test-result analysis, and test optimization.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and optimizing automation frameworks, including test reporting.
- Demonstrated experience with NUnit or JUnit.
- Experience working within a formal CI/CD pipeline.
- Strong knowledge of C# and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver.
- Experience with API testing using Postman or a similar tool.
- Knowledge of web application architecture, APIs, SQL databases, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with load testing using JMeter or a similar tool.
- Knowledge and experience with Git and Stash.
- Knowledge and experience with Jenkins and Bamboo.
- Knowledge and experience with microservices architecture and integration and functional automation testing.
- Experience with Agile teams and methodologies; Kanban experience is desirable.
- Eligibility to work full-time for Interac Corp. in Canada.
