Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate release tooling for software.
- Drive initiatives to enhance engineer productivity and reduce lead time for changes.
- Collaborate with development and SRE teams on CI/D policies and standards.
- Support developers with build automation and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot issues within the CI/D pipeline.
- Participate in on-call support rotation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in release engineering.
- Ability to thrive in an Agile environment.
- Deep expertise in Ruby, Python, or Go.
- Experience with automation tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks such as Chef or Terraform.
- Knowledge of cache and proxy servers like Varnish or Nginx.
- Experience with source code control systems like Git.
- Proficiency in Linux and containerization, especially Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS and GCP.
- Understanding of quality control and test automation in CI environments.
- Experience with packaging and artifact repositories.
