Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Keet Desktop, a cross-platform peer-to-peer communications application.
- Implement UI/UX features using React and the Pear runtime.
- Optimize frontend rendering, memory management, and overall application performance.
- Write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Test and debug complex frontend applications.
- Contribute to P2P communication and decentralized application capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven production-scale experience with React or Preact and modern JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Strong competency with state management tools such as Redux, Redux Toolkit, or Zustand.
- Ability to write modular, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Strong frontend testing and debugging skills.
- Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.
- Good communication skills and comfort working in a remote, globally distributed team.
- Preferred experience with Electron, Tauri, or similar desktop application runtimes.
- Familiarity with video/audio APIs, WebRTC, media streams, and real-time communication.
- Experience optimizing UI rendering and memory management.
- Experience building applications for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
- Open-source contributions, especially in P2P or decentralized technology, are a bonus.
