Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, deploy, and sustain InterSystems IRIS/Caché and ObjectScript applications supporting VX130 data extraction, transformation, validation, and transmission.
- Analyze VistA data structures, FileMan files, globals, metadata, and application logic while developing database classes, tables, routines, queries, services, and automation.
- Design and implement REST APIs, web services, system integrations, and enterprise data-processing solutions.
- Perform unit, functional, integration, and performance testing; troubleshoot defects; optimize performance; and support IRIS Mirror, high-availability, backup, recovery, and production environments.
- Support deployments, upgrades, incident resolution, platform modernization, containerization, automation, observability, and production sustainment.
- Maintain secure, readable, and documented code; participate in code reviews; and support version control and CI/CD practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of enterprise application development experience using InterSystems Caché and/or InterSystems IRIS.
- At least 3 years of hands-on ObjectScript development experience, including IRIS classes, globals, SQL, relational database concepts, and data-access patterns.
- Experience with REST APIs, web services, system integrations, enterprise data processing, production troubleshooting, automated testing, code review, version control, Agile development, and DevOps/CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, documentation, and secure software-development skills.
- Preferred experience with VX130, VistA, FileMan, MUMPS, InterSystems HealthShare/Ensemble, IRIS Mirror, high-availability architectures, Linux, containers/Kubernetes, virtual machines, bare metal, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Fortify, OpenAPI/Swagger, Visual Studio, Python, HL7, XML, JSON, Oracle Health/Cerner integrations, EHR migration, or VA/federal healthcare environments.
- U.S. citizenship, successful completion of a background check, and ability to obtain and maintain a Government/Public Trust clearance are required.
