Responsibilities
- Scope and lead technical projects that enable products to evolve and scale.
- Design, build, expand, and maintain user interfaces, APIs, and services.
- Work with partners to design and launch new features and capabilities.
- Align technical decisions with Stripe’s strategic initiatives and emerging business needs.
- Evaluate when to leverage existing infrastructure versus building bespoke solutions.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term roadmaps while balancing business priorities, user experience, and technical sustainability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and mentor and support other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of industry experience building high-quality code and infrastructure.
- Experience building scalable products and delivering changes across the technical stack.
- Experience creating features and products with strong user experience and ease of use.
- Understanding of sound practices for building and working with UIs and APIs.
- Ability to measure success by business impact and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Strong technical judgment, preference for simple scalable solutions, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Preferred: strong React expertise.
- Preferred: experience using React Native.
- Preferred: experience with financial product companies and interest in financial products and markets.
