Responsibilities
- Collaboratively develop features and engineering capabilities for Hosted Payment Pages.
- Work across the development lifecycle from product requirements through cloud deployment.
- Build and operate secure, scalable, highly available microservices and front-end experiences.
- Automate engineering activities where appropriate.
- Participate in the on-call rota to support highly available products.
- Collaborate with engineers across squads on technology, architecture patterns, and implementation approaches.
Requirements
- Experience with front-end technologies including React, Webpack, TypeScript, Redux, and Material UI.
- Experience building and operating large-scale, highly available microservices deployed to the cloud.
- Experience building microservices with Docker, Spring Boot, and Java.
- Experience with unit testing and BDD frameworks such as JUnit, Cucumber, and Jest.
- A quality-focused engineering skillset and an interest in continuous improvement.
- Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS is a bonus.
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging-oriented middleware is a bonus.
- Exposure to reactive programming, the payments industry, cards and payment schemes, or PCI-DSS is a bonus.
