Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, maintain, and ship production software, services, applications, and tools.
- Partner directly with customer stakeholders to understand requirements, create technical designs, and deliver solutions against agreed success metrics.
- Apply secure coding, threat modeling, vulnerability management, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, data scientists, and domain experts to make tradeoffs and drive alignment.
- Participate in on-call and incident response, diagnose issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve reliability.
- Create reusable components, reference implementations, and documentation for future customer engagements.
- Share best practices and improve engineering velocity, quality, and customer outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Experience partnering directly with customers or internal stakeholders to deliver solutions end to end.
- Fluency in Japanese and English.
- Preferred: master’s degree and 3+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience designing, deploying, and operating AI or LLM-based solutions, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented approaches, model tuning, evaluation, data quality, performance monitoring, and cloud AI platforms.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25%.
