Base Salary
$225k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable Bumble application features using GCP services.
- Drive technically complex product features from inception through delivery across the full software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to ship new features and improvements.
- Lead architecture discussions and propose solutions for long-term scalability.
- Support junior engineers through pairing, mentoring, and code reviews.
- Guide engineering standards and best practices for a high-quality codebase.
- Own Android features from technical design and implementation through testing and release.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience building and shipping production Android applications.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and experience with modern Android development practices.
- Experience building user interfaces with Jetpack Compose and/or XML-based views, including understanding of their tradeoffs.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining Android architectures such as MVVM, MVI, or Clean Architecture in medium-to-large codebases.
- Strong understanding of Android platform fundamentals, including activity and fragment lifecycle, threading, performance, and memory management.
- Experience integrating and consuming networked APIs from Android clients, including error handling and offline considerations.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, inclusive mindset.
