Responsibilities
- Advance the Quickwit roadmap by proposing and implementing architectural changes.
- Manage the Quickwit community by reviewing contributions and ensuring codebase quality.
- Define project governance and establish contribution guidelines.
- Collect data to assess project health and identify areas for improvement.
- Evangelize Quickwit to expand its reach and impact.
Requirements
- Experience managing an open source software project with a community of users and contributors.
- 3-5 years of experience in systems-level programming, preferably with Rust or a similar language.
- Proficient written communication skills to articulate thoughts clearly.
- Ability to ship quickly and overcome blockers with a practical mindset.
- Passion for developer experience and reducing friction for maintainers and contributors.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and release management for complex software projects.
- Experience working on extract-transform-load tools or stream processing systems.
