Responsibilities
- Design, build, and automate financial-crime controls, including AML and fraud controls, and onboarding flows.
- Implement integrations with regional banks, payment providers, and identity and business verification vendors.
- Participate in code and design reviews and provide constructive engineering feedback.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and compliance officers across global offices.
- Contribute to the technical strategy and roadmap for the MEA domain.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer delivering high-quality, scalable systems with a strong product mindset.
- Deep technical expertise in backend development and microservices architecture.
- Experience designing and building software systems and collaborating on technical designs.
- Strong ability to provide constructive feedback in code and design reviews.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex challenges.
- Experience leveraging LLMs, such as Claude Code, to enhance the software development lifecycle.
- Preferred experience with payments systems, money movement, financial integrations, consumer or business onboarding, or KYC/KYB in MEA markets.
- Java proficiency is preferred.
